A girl, Riley, takes new marketed pills on test trial for confidence which produces an alter ego Jess that persuades her to not only become confident when confronting people but to be aggressive as well, verbally and physically, having Riley to lose control of herself.

To make people realize that instead of facing our problems we try to find shortcuts to solve it; however, the shortcuts often have consequences. For example in this film, the medication is a shortcut to boost her confidence.

Movie Review: Stepford Wives 2004

What I like about the Stepford Wives is that the science fiction part of it is not a smack your face, it’s subtler. While the women are robots, they are not the shiny metal kind that we often see.  I think the idea of perfect house wives due to a chip in their head is genius. Even though it s consider to be horror based off the original version it’s more comedic which is also great to have comedic relief in a sci-fi film instead of it being all serious. Overall, I think it’s a great sci-fi film to watch.
